No matter what the time of year and occasion, decorating a log home is a blast. The log home is a dynamic "canvas" upon which you can add your creative touches.
Because log homes are, by their nature, very "masculine," Dawn and I seek to balance the masculinity of the logs and beams with plenty of feminine splashes of color and design on the floors, walls, windows and furnishings.
Ever since we moved into our log home 28 years ago, we've had Dawn's family over for Thanksgiving Day dinner. Dawn's mom used to call our place a "cozy cottage." We agree. The down-to-earth ambiance is very conducive to relaxation and relationship-building.
